Fr. Daniel Renaud, OMI, is a priest, religious and itinerant preacher with the Oblates of Mary Immaculate of the US province. Fr. Renaud ministers from the Oblate School of Theology (OST) campus in San Antonio, Texas. Fr. Renaud has degrees in drama and literature (Mount Allison University), theology (Saint Paul University); graduate degrees in drama education (McGill University) and theology and ministry (Boston College), and training in psychodrama, clinical pastoral education, and spiritual direction. He has preached in Asia, Canada, and the US to people of all walks of life on the following: desire and spiritual intimacy, 12 steps recovery, and various topics of psychospiritual development.
He was the director of chaplaincy services for ten years at Saint Paul University in Ottawa, Canada, served as chair and co-chair of the Canadian Catholic Campus Ministry, and was the director of Immaculata Retreat House in Connecticut. Fr. Renaud is a member of Spiritual Director International (SDI) and holds a Graduate Certificate in Spiritual Direction and Preached Retreats from Creighton University. He is currently training for certification in dreamwork with The Haden Institute in North Carolina. His areas of interest are resilience, fulfilling our mission, spiritual healing of traumatic events and relationships, dreamwork and contemplative practices, and mysticism. Fr. Renaud is adjunct faculty at the Oblate School of Theology and a regular blog writer for the school.
