Ms. Brintnall is the Founding principal at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School in Boerne. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and was chosen for the elite Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Teacher Program. She began her career in San Antonio through the ACE Teaching Fellows Program, where she taught 4th-8th grade math at Blessed Sacrament School, earning recognition as Teacher of the Year. Two years later, she became a founding faculty member at Great Hearts Academies, where she spent the last nine years immersed in the world of Classical education. As Assistant Headmaster, she trained and coached teachers in Classical education methods and supported students across various grade levels and subjects. Most recently, as Curriculum Manager for New Regions, she designed the Academic Launch Manual for opening schools in new regions and managed curriculum development for the Great Hearts Teacher Resource Portal. Mr. Jake Tawney serves as the Chief Academic Officer for Great Hearts Academies, a network of classical charter schools across multiple states. Mr. Tawney has an undergraduate degree in mathematics and computer science from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He continued his studies at The Ohio State University, where he earned a masters degree in mathematics. While in Ohio, he taught high school mathematics and computer science, and courses in Euclid and the philosophy of mathematics at the Pontifical College Josephinum. Mr. Tawney is the proud husband of Christina and the proud father of eight children, all of whom have something unique in their souls that can only be satisfied by wondering about mathematics.
